Frequently asked questions

Everything about buying AI-generated art from Kex Art — honestly answered.

Is the artwork really AI-generated?
Yes — every single piece on Kex Art is AI-generated. We say so on every artwork, and we never present an image as hand-painted or made by a human artist. That honesty is the whole point of how we run the studio.
What exactly do I receive?
For a print, you receive a numbered giclée or canvas print, produced to order and shipped insured. For a digital piece or commission, you receive a colour-accurate, print-ready high-resolution file. Each order also includes an edition record noting the title, size, medium (AI-generated) and edition number.
Is the print quality good?
Prints are made as archival giclée on cotton-rag paper or as gallery canvas, using pigment inks. Because the source is a high-resolution export, detail and colour hold up at large sizes. What you see on screen is a colour-accurate export of the file — no filters or grading.
How do I choose the right size?
Every artwork page has a scale reference that shows the piece at true relative size against a sofa, doorway or person — the fastest way to picture it on your wall. As a rule of thumb, art above a sofa usually looks best at 60–90 cm wide.
Can I commission a custom piece?
Yes. Tell us the subject, palette, space and size and we generate concept directions, refine to your feedback, and deliver a print-ready file with an optional print. There is no deposit — you pay only once you approve the final piece. See Commissions.
Who owns the copyright?
When you buy a print you own that physical print. Kex Art retains the copyright and the right to reproduce the image (for example, as further prints in the edition) unless you buy an exclusive or commercial licence. If you need commercial rights, see Licensing.
Is AI art “real” art — and is it ethical?
That’s a fair question and we won’t dodge it. We think AI-generated images can be genuinely worth living with, and we’re transparent that a machine generated them. What we won’t do is dress it up as something it isn’t — no fake human artist, no “hand-painted” claims, no invented provenance.
How long does delivery take?
Digital files are delivered within 1–2 working days of payment. Prints are produced to order and typically ship within 3–5 working days, then travel insured and tracked across India. Commissions run about 5–10 days end to end.
Can I return a print?
Prints are made to order, so we ask you to choose carefully using the scale reference and detail views. If a print arrives damaged in transit, we replace it — see Shipping for the damage process.
Can I license an image for commercial use?
Yes. We license images for publishing, interiors and commercial use by usage type, term, territory and exclusivity. Fees depend on the use. Start with a note via the brief form and we’ll quote.
